The Way We Talk to Ourselves About Food
Lately, a recurring theme has emerged in my one-on-one sessions: the internal dialogue.
We talk to ourselves about food, nutrition, and weight in ways that are often critical, reactive, and all-or-nothing. I’ve navigated this myself—after both of my pregnancies, I gained about 40 pounds, and I had to learn that while food matters, how we talk to ourselves about the food matters just as much.
A Note on My Approach
I am a communication expert, not a nutritionist. My life’s work—including my books on talking to yourself like a Buddhist—has been dedicated to helping people transform their internal and external interactions.
In this free workshop, we'll cover:
- Why it feels so hard right now to feel steady around food and our bodies.
- The noise we’re navigating (internally and externally).
- A few communication practices you can start using right away.
I’m bringing the same tools I use for high-stakes external communication to this vital internal dialogue, helping you find a more supportive, steady way to speak to yourself.
Looking Ahead: The 4-Week Course
Following the workshop, I’ll be offering a live 4-week course beginning the week of April 20th. We’ll meet once a week live to focus on shifting your relationship to eating and weight in a sustainable way.
